Traditionally known as the “The Quiet One” while in Mötley Crüe, Mick Mars is finally front and center with no one to reign in the bluesy guitarist! And we must say… we’re liking what we are hearing! With a move away from the classic Mötley sound, Mick Mars has unleashed his new single “Right Side of Wrong“, a track that delves deep into the grunge realm, reminiscent of the Layne Staley era of Alice In Chains. The single is a part of his much-anticipated debut album, “The Other Side of Mars“, slated for release on February 23.
“Right Side of Wrong” features a heavy, alt-rock vibe, a significant shift from Mars’ previous body of work with Mötley Crüe. Although their 1994 self-titled album featuring John Corabi, featured alternative songs like “Hooligans Holiday”. With grunge-infused guitars and an ethereal chorus, the track is an assertive statement of Mars’ musical evolution. As Mars himself puts it, the track represents another level of his artistry, like a “kaleidoscope” of sounds and colors different from his rhythm work.

Mars, having parted ways with Motley Crue, is charting his own course, intent on establishing a unique musical identity. Collaborating with talents like vocalist Jacob Bunton, bassist Chris Collier, keyboardist Paul Taylor (Winger), and drummer Ray Luzier(Korn), the album promises a diverse range of music. Mars’ solo venture is a journey to showcase “what I am, which is a little off” in his words.
