KISS is no stranger to pushing the limits of what a fan will fork over for the ultimate rock experience. From overpriced merch (https://amzn.to/3DYQoCD) to VIP packages that cost more than a decent used car, Gene Simmons has pretty much written the book on squeezing cash out of rock’s most devoted. But this time, the Demon himself might’ve just outdone even his own high standards.

You know how most rockstars hire roadies to haul their gear, tune their instruments, and set up the stage? Well, Gene’s got a new twist: why not make the fans PAY for the privilege? That’s right—Gene Simmons is offering fans the chance to be a “Roadie for a Day” on his solo tour. For a wallet-crushing $12,495, you too can sweat it out backstage, lug around gear, and catch a glimpse of the Demon himself while doing his dirty work.
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR THE PRICE OF A USED HARLEY?
In true Gene fashion, the package isn’t just about the hard labor. You’ll also score breakfast with the man himself, assist with setting up the show, and—get this—a signed bass guitar. Oh, and if your back isn’t completely shot by showtime, you get to perform on stage with him. Because why just pay to be a roadie when you can also pay to be the backup act?
It’s equal parts genius and absurd. On one hand, it’s every die-hard fan’s dream to go backstage and get that rockstar behind-the-scenes experience. On the other, it’s borderline comical that you’re shelling out more than twelve grand to do manual labor. But hey, Gene’s never been shy about his love of money.
FAN REACTIONS: LOVING IT OR LOSING IT?
Predictably, reactions have been split. Hardcore KISS Army members are already signing up, seeing it as a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of the machine. Others are laughing at the idea of paying a fortune to do manual labor. One fan tweeted, “Next, he’ll charge us to wash his car before the show!”
Love it or hate it, you’ve gotta respect the sheer audacity. Gene Simmons has turned capitalism into an art form—and if fans are willing to pay to move his gear, why not? Rock and roll might be about rebellion, but it’s also about business—and nobody knows that better than Gene.
