My journey into this electric world started way back, in the backseat of my mom’s little green Ford Escort. That’s where Alice In Chains and Ratt first blasted into my ears, setting the stage eventually for creating this Blog and its associated YouTube Channel!
Then there was my dad, undoubtedly the most passionate Led Zeppelin fan you’ve never met. Growing up, he made sure I became a fan too, whether I liked it or not! We had countless nights driving through the small towns of North Carolina, with classics like ‘Hey, Hey What Can I Do’ and ‘Immigrant Song’ blasting at full volume (Not that I could hear the music, considering he sang louder than the blown car speakers).
Rock isn’t just something I listen to; it’s something I live. There’s nothing quite like the raw energy of live music, the kind that makes your heart race and your soul catch fire. We’ve all sulked to “Down In a Hole” by AIC when things were not going our way. And we’ve all “Woo Hoo’d” along to ‘Song 2’ by Blur when we felt on top of the world!
Here at RockTone, I’m sharing all of this with you – the memories, the music, the mayhem. It’s a place for those who hear life in guitar solos and find wisdom in rock lyrics. Whether you’re an old-school headbanger or a newbie to the scene, there’s something here for you.
